Lip Aftercare
Lip aftercare
Lip blushing generally lasts between 2-3 years, but like many procedures, there are a few factors that will prolong or shorten the expected durability. Blade & Feather recommends the following at home care instructions for 10 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results.
If you have any questions please email us at bladeandfeatherstudio@gmail.com
Cleanse
Use the provided antiseptic wipes to blot the lips every 15 minutes for the first hour following your appointment, then once more before bed that night.
Sweat less
Refrain from excessive sweating for the first 7 days.
No picking
Your lips will start to peel. Do not touch, bite, lick, or peel them
No make-up
Do not apply make-up directly onto your lips during the healing process.
No submerging
Avoid submerging them during the healing process. Also do not use hot tubs, saunas, or participate in hot yoga
Liquids and food
Drink all liquids through a straw for 7 days. Avoid any spicy, salty, or citrusy foods for 7 days. Also avoid taking any large bites of food where it would stretch the lips
Aftercare balm
Reapply balm as needed in thin layers
No sun
Avoid excess sun exposure as this can cause the pigment to fade and can affect healing.
No smoking or vaping
For 7 days avoid smoking or vaping, this is VERY important
Inform your esthetician
If you are planning a chemical peel or any other medical procedure, please inform your esthetician that you had lip blush done
